The only thing we see changed about him was his attitude towards Wellmy and that's only because Iora loves her. In fact you could say he's still looking down on her by thinking he's throwing Wellmy a bone and "letting" her get the glory for saving Iora. He's still so up his own ass.
When he was thinking about how Wellmy "judge", acted above others and was just a doll shell, I yelled HYPOCRITE! bc that's literally what he was doing, judging her as empty
