Yeah! That really is a good theory, a possibility of him being his twin but then why one was left in that village but other was taken to the city.
I was going with a theory of mass homicide of kids to give as a peace-offering to the spirit because that guy said, there's not a single kid in that village!!
Also if we go by twin theory, what if one kid was taken from that family as they have some powers in them looking at his grandma, as a sacrifice for the spirit but a curse was put on that village as they're going against law of nature, that no kid will survive in that village.
