that definitely could be the case but it seemed like he dropped painting altogether as he never started something new (which is what i expected) so it felt really weird. the characters both seemed to be very infatuated by painting and it’s what brought them together so like, giving it all up cause people kept interfering was such a strange way to tie the knot
Wait rly? I thought he was like, idk, casually doing art and that’s why he still didn’t decide on a pathway after not taking the entrance exam for art academy but ig I assumed. But fr, he could’ve just moved to another place to draw or smt instead of giving it up when that’s what brought them together originally
LMAO IDK? i reread the first and last chapter and yes indeed he was planning on going to art school because it was clear he enjoyed doing it and has a knack for it, especially when he stated “art is all i have” but i think that’s why i got so confused at the end when he ruined the painting that was even meant to be apart of his portfolio and labeled it as “giving up” and then there was no further mention about whether or not he was still planning on going down an artistic path. please correct me if there was anything i missed it would just hollow out the entire plot for me if his now lover also basically fell in love with him due to his artistic talent..? question mark?
No yeah, it’s not very clear. ML says he’s giving up on the drawing but there’s no clarification if he also means art school and a career in art in general or not maybe the author wants an ambiguous message LOL? Ur og interpretation of it was hilarious tho bc it feels like the message is to give up LMAO
For me, i think its about giving up on something in order to finally start a much more meaningful journey.
The painting represents their life, and the delinquents trying to ruin the painting represents challenges in life. It's like a person building up there dreams but is stuck in life but as the challenges continues they find a meaning to finally keep going.
And i also thing that "giving up" in this scenario wasn't actually "giving up" on his dream about art school but actually "giving up" to always make things "perfect" as the painting he was making was almost "perfect" or "finished".
That no matter what as long as they love each other, they'll continue to achieve their dreams together.
But all in all, this is just my opinion and what I've interpreted on that part.
don’t get the erasure of the painting at all. what message is that supposed to deliver? give up when it becomes too difficult yessir
