I genuinely don’t understand how you can like that story. It’s a copy and past plot with an toxic rapist seme, and the basic super feminine and helpless uke who’s in debt, like what is there even to like. I don’t get it, the story is so ass.

It actually gets on my nerves when people say they like jinx, it’s so freaking bad. Honestly, I think the only people who like that story or stories like it are people who sexualize gay men and romanticize rape.

Wait wait lemme elaborate, I didn't enjoy Dan getting hurt or suffering obviously and I seriously don't condone treating anyone so horribly but I think I like the story line because it has so much potential to turn into something great, same with bj alex except that was way less extreme in comparison. I know it doesn't make up for everything that he's been through but yunno at the end of the day it is fictional

Please don’t try to make a point and say that it is bad, but then at the end of what you say, you put “it’s fictional”. The only people who use that excuse are people who enjoy things such as rape and other gross genres. Also, I appreciate you trying to explain why you enjoy jinx, but that story has no potential, it’s trash through and through.

I can't lie I felt that same way in the very beginning and I was only drawn to it because of the art style. I think it's an acquired taste. It's not like I enjoy abuse, I enjoy the build up. Also I disagree with the super feminine and helpless uke part, I feel like Dan could come across that way in comparison to jaekyung because jaekyung is like hypermasculine and toxic. Dan acts the way he acts because he places family paramount to anything else and he ends up having to sacrifice himself, which is quite realistic. I don't know if you are up to date but small spoiler, he does end up leaving because now he doesn't have a reason to stay and tolerate all of that nonsense

Jinx is kinda funny though, Jinx takes every existing, shitty trope from popular yaois and dials it up to 11. It's awful, but it's almost an unintentional parody at times.
