yes thats how he feels to me as well, its not just the artist being lazy it really just part of the storytelling

yep! and i think its used in a very specific situations but id have to reread to be sure but thats overall the feeling the art gave me, i think i read stories with this type of art idea before so maybe thats why that was my first thought
i love the story and ive never been one to care much about "bad" art so im not complaining. its just a little offputting how the artist tends to not draw the mc's face and leaves it a blank, skin coloured shape. like its usually done to side charas but not the MAIN character lmao
