Same, I'm dropping after Ch 17. The beginning of 18 starts with "Ten years ago". The story is so convoluted when I just came for the gender bending smut. I gave up and started skimming around Ch 14 bc the story doesn't interest me (mystery, suspense). And I honestly don't like any of the characters. So Now I'm really just giving up.
Sorry, how is it confusing to you? For me , the story is very good unlike some smut that has no plot.
The whole world-building and government stuff confused me, I feel like it’s not laid out clearly enough nor is it super interesting. Stories like In The Dog House, I feel more interested in the setting. It has a good plot, and smut
Not saying this story is terrible, I do like it but the plot just seems very off to me.
