The only reprieve, safe place that MC felt she could b was when she was working with second ML, who respected her, had an unbiased opinion.
The ML is swayed by external forces oh I’m sure… but doesn’t change the fact that he has been so childish in the way he treats MC - accusing her of seducing other men when in fact, low and behold, he’s the one who is jealous - WHEN IN FACT SHE WAS CRYING BECAUSE OF THE ABUSE SHE WAS SUFFERING AND WAS HAPPY SOMEONE ACKNOWLEDGED HER WORK. Shifting blame much? It just feels like the interactions between the mc and ml revolve around lust, the bODAE~~~ the bootae whereas there is SO MUCH REAL ESTATE TO EXPAND ON WITH MY LONG HAIRED PRETTY BOI - who actual value mc for her capabilities, personality, and GRIT.
I’m complaining a lot but hey, I’ve read so far for a reason. Give this a try, I like the mc. Bit upset that I see comments saying the author didn’t deliver mc’s parts properly.
Edit: y’all, I was on chapter 32 then. Author knew second male lead syndrome too strong we are hardly seeing any of him but at least ml is stepping up his game
