He was feeling betrayed since the mc is a prophet and he hates a prophet as they bring sufferings to his family even before he became a duke .

That was a fake prophet and he knows it, he knows Eugene is a real prophet. From this chapter it seems that he's more upset about the fact that he thinks Eugene was only being nice to him to do some prophecy stuff
