If people can't even let themselves be passionate about fiction they enjoy then what's the point of reading anyway and I too agree that Takatora's situation is somewhat similar to what's it's like being trans irl. In this whole thread you're one of the only one who have said anything of substance yet except for sarcastic one linersliners lmao
Cut me some slack, I'd just woken up that was me being mean cause I was still groggy.
It was just two comments, but sorry I don't have anything enlightening to contribute to this incredibly profound discussion. I shall endeavor to do better the next time I pick up a story about gay porn set in a dystopian society that touches superficially on what it means to be a woman. Indeed, everyone who reads this masterpiece should strive to have an elucidating conversation, and anyone who has nothing educated to say should hold their breaths and disappear from this place of holy deliberation forever.
That was me being a dick cause I find it entertaining. For the record tho I do agree with you.
You know why racism and sexual orientation is not the same? One chooses to be racist we can't choose our sexual orientation.
gays, trans, lesbians, etc are born like this. The fact you're comparing sexual orientation with racism is wild and just proves my point.
HE CAN'T CHOOSE what he likes, he likes omegas the same way gays like men, and lesbians women.
You just let everything I said go over your head.
I meant your long ass comment was what was crazy for this kind of story, which you're right, I didn't read (Argument apart tho I do respect pitching a fight over the least consequential of things)
You're also assuming things because I don't like omegas who act like omegas. I don't even like omega verse. I actually kind of hate it and try to avoid the trope all together, cause I think gender stereotypes are dumb and omega verse is basically just misogyny but on men. If I wanted to see what it was like to be treated like as a second class citizen Id just go outside. I'm here for the character study
Then why are you here? Lol if you won't even read the manga, you don't even like it WTF you doing here. Baseless, with 0 arguments since you didn't read the manga and jumping to conclusions.
Now I get why you where saying dumb stuff like that, you where throwing shit around waiting to see what sticks , and least you have the decency to admit that .
Girl where did you see me say I didn't read the manga? I said I didn't read the comment you made which I was replying to cause it was long and I'm wasted on a story like this.
But, to each their own, we all reserve the right to be passionate about whatever it is interest us.
I just feel like you jump to conclusions a lot.
In another timeline I would have argued about the specifics of gender and storytelling and how that translates here but I am not yet so pathetic I'd do that in this universe due to my disdain for the trope and my very urgent need to attend to the homework I've been ignoring
Tldr: I respect your fire but you should look at the finer details sometimes and refrain from jumping the gun too soon
Lol I mixed your comment with another person that didn't read it. I'm having 2 convos right now so...ignore that last coment. And is not jumping to conclusions yall just be saying things that if you pay some attention is clearly explained in the manga.....that's the whole point of reading, saying a character has not evolved just because they way they adapted to the situation doesn't fit your criteria/ moral or idealistic idea won't change the fact that He changed.
He sees omegas different and the world views him different and he adjusted accordingly by working double or triple and accepting that he has no chance against alphas a thing that before he would never do.
You know people don't always change for the better, that's the point of this manga, is about the cruel reality of what omegas go through without creating a toxic fantasy that the alpha will appear and solve everything by basically SA the omega every single chapter to the point the omega feels is love and forgives everything.
You don't gotta convince me of that, I'm not the one who said he didn't change he did, just...very very very slowly. He didn't change much on his view of society or how he fits in it, and that's what I find refreshing. He's an asshole. But he's an asshole with morals. He doesnt just believe something because he thinks he's better. He thinks he's better and then strives to become that because that's what he believes in.
He wasn't changing enough tho and that's why they did the whole time skip imo. He never would have been this gentle before. Which is interesting but also a shame cause I genuinely enjoy awful protagonists
I don’t even understand the point of takatora being an omega if he never actually experiences what it means to be an omega in the proverbial sense. He cuts out his whom and still remains just as chauvinistic, entitled and selfish despite this “setback”. Yes he’s no longer on the highest pedestal but his disregard for others in all ways is just inherent it seems. It’s actually really hard to read this because he’s genuinely such an awful person in such a realistic way of someone who’s always had his way and maintains that mindset to the bitter end.
