Its not that easy also i dont think MC wanted that to happen. its like encanto with mirabel and grandma situation again. Mc still like his brother as a family but it doesn't mean that MC will let what his brother done to him slide.
I doubt he will actually call him abusive tho And I mean, he suffers from straight up nightmares cause of him. I do think the author will let it slide more or less. I never said it was a simple situation, usually abusive family is a complex matter, doesn’t change the fact that he should at the very least distance himself. I do hope at the very least he calls him out on his bullshit, but again, I have a feeling he will go way easier on him than that dude deserves. I don’t think this will be represented as actual abuse
Also, in Encanto grandma was definitely a control freak, but she didn’t go as far as physical abuse or telling them they killed their pets just to teach them a lesson (like, is it ever going to be addressed just how fucking messed up that was?). Joseph (name in original English translation) went way further than her. Sorry not sorry, but I don’t believe he deserves an easy way out or redemption. What he did is beyond messed up. And I have a feeling like they really won’t show the seriousness of that situation properly.
I really, really hope MC cuts off his abusive brother. It’s so hard to read. Doesn’t matter what his “intentions” are, it’s abuse plain and simple. He’s a total control freak and I need MC to put his foot down once and for all (hopefully soon). However, I have a bad feeling that author will just let things slide.
