(Probably a rant)
I LOVE how this story was told. It’s told in such a way where you really feel like you’re experiencing the highs and lows of this kind of relationship, with one chapter being cute and the next being absolutely terrible.

I also love how it portrays the aftermath of Yoonbum being rescued and how real it feels (I cried during the last few chapters). It really shows how brainwashed these kinds of victims become; how he fell out of love with Sangwoo as he was hurting him but slowly fell back in “love” with him as he started treating him less and less horribly, yet was still treating him badly.

One of my favourite parts is Sangwoo’s backstory and really just how it’s told. The backstory itself is good and definitely traumatic for him, but it’s not the most creative I’ve seen. What really makes it my favourite is how it’s told in such a way that really makes you think and feel like you’re solving a puzzle. One chapter it’ll show one thing, then in another chapter it’ll show that thing with more context, and it just feels so interesting to try and piece everything together when you really only understand the full thing and how deeply Sangwoo’s trauma goes in the last chapters.

Honestly I could continue to rant about how amazing of a read this was, but no one’ll read it anyways so I won’t. Really I was scared to read this for so long because of how people talked about it, but I’m so glad I did!
