Makes sense in real life too, after my friends got over their first relationships they went faster at the next ones.
But, in my book at least, Tashiro and Ebi are going fast, they are only one step at getting together for real and they already get along and have chemistry, for Manager & Blondie t are , probably, going to get physical faster, but they'll get slower in the emotional part because they have a lot of issues to overcome before they even open up to each other.
Yeah and not to mention the blond guy currently likes Ebihara!! Of course it's not that straightforward. The second couple is gonna go through some DRAMA

if yall think that progression in a relationship is just having sex then you clearly don't know anything about being in a relationship. In terms of progression, the main couple has more progression than the side couple because they have actually established a mutual agreement that they're gonna explore things together.
