It was looking good for him after he left his 'home' and started living by himself and when he let himself talk about a traumatic Experience that he had with his 3rd grade Teacher, he felt safe enough to tell skylar about it even tho he hadn't said a word about that to anyone else, I get that cirrus had been an a-hole before and manipulated skylar multiple times even lied to him to keep skylar to himself. But skylar isn't completely innocent too afterall he used to stalk chanli and chanli still doesn't know about the obsession skylar had over him, and another thing is that he has anger issues, and sometimes he goes too far just like how he said absolutely horrible things to cirrus and even beat him up, and what's worse is that cirrus never defended himself because he's desperate to be with skylar, and it hurts even more as you think that his father is abusive and cirrus has grown used to that treatment, so to be beaten up by the guy he felt safe enough to be vulnerable with would just scar him further. Skylar is understandably scared of public affection because of his trauma but on the contrary cirrus craves for affection and attention so that he could come over the feeling of being too 'dirty' because of the trauma he experienced in 3rd grade and the abandonment from his father. But of course he's pushed away due to skylar Trauma which results in triggering his trauma and it all ends up as a damn mess like how it is now, and when skylar met up with cirrus in chap 116- it genuinely broke my heart as I could see the relief in cirrus's face when he saw skylar, cirrus is already going through a lot as he adores candy with his life and he genuinely needed some comfort that only skylar could've given him, but skylar dropped and the bomb right there, but honestly skylar was feeling betrayed, even played when he found out the truth so I can't completely blame him,but what he said was well pretty bad, so bad that cirrus literally went back to the abusive home that he left for his own good because he couldn't bear being alone and from there it all just feel apart for cirrus, his literally spiraled down which caused him to lose every single person who cared about him. That's a lot for a 17 year old to handle ngl.
