A lot of ppl seem to really dislike the amnesia arc (or amnesia arcs in general) but personally I think it serves as a decent plot twist in the manga. Just when nana was about to escape, we were hit with it like a rug pulled under our feet. It was a great timing to let the antagonist play his cards. We just weren't given enough time to see a proper resolution to it which is why I think people are pretty upset.
However, I totally disagree with how Claude just had a change of heart just like that in ch. 26 simply by being convinced by the protagonist. It feels like a very cheap move for the plot honestly. I also have a feeling that the manga will end after this arc as they live happily ever after which is fine but everyone wants to see Claude get done in by karma. If it really ends there then it feels like the ending was pretty rushed. You don't let a villain commit all those crimes just to let the protagonist talk to them. You also gotta prop up the hero properly to end it all.
IMO author should've let mc escape without being caught and built the story from there, technically amnesia arc is over but we still got to deal with Claude somehow in a hopefully more satisfying way. I hope the reason the author ended it quickly was so they can give us more diabetes.
