Oh, I know. I definitely don’t think he’s a good person. I’m just saying the way he acts towards Kim Dan is the same way he acts with everyone else, and hence, it makes sense. Jaekyung has treated people as disposable his entire career, and that definitely wasn’t going to change just because a new fuck buddy showed up. People don’t just change overnight.
I think now that Kim Dan has abandoned him, it will be interesting to see how he deals with that. After all, he was always the one throwing people away, so now that Dan has left out of his own volition, Jaekyung is finally going to feel the same abandonment he’s put all those other men through. I think an event like this is a more realistic reason for a character like him to change, than the simple appearance of a “pretty-faced roommate with a sad story”.
I have hopes that the author made him into a solid piece of shit since the beginning to make that redemption arc that much more satisfactory. Can’t wait for season 2, honestly.
Oh, you know, I didn't go through everything you wrote, so I must have gotten it wrong. But you're right, people don’t just change overnight; that’s where you’re absolutely correct. Still, I really hope he might change now that Kim Dan is gone. I really want Jaekyung to learn from this, and I also hope he might even plead for Kim Dan to return. But yeah, you're right about being excited for season 2. I’m so impatient-it feels like it’s already been a million years!
I think he's nice. He never killed someone, stole something, harm ppl for fun. He's doing his job correctly, he beats the bad guys, talked to an old women feeling alone.... Yes, he's arrogant, egocentric and never listens to someone that's just the bad personality author wanted to give him and you can't hate him for that.
He’s honestly not as bad as I expected. I’ve always read terrible things about Joo Jaekyung but I think the way he mistreats Kim Dan is very on par with his personality and the way he’s treated all his other fuck buddies. Truthfully, nothing he has done so far has discouraged me from reading this.
