You’re real for that. The artist draws the current empress to be kind… but is she really? Her and the emperor did horrible things to the previous empress no wonder she turned out that way (+ how she was mistreated by her own family in her own kingdom) now they are doing the same to the prince and the fl is stupid but is doing her best. I don’t like her focus on that knight but the author wants some enemy turned lover romance so I’m just ignoring it and will keep reading to see what turns out of the brother and if the current emperor and empress will have any karma coming.
Obviously people can’t control when they pass out lol but I couldn’t help but feel rage when she passed out at the funeral and when she saw his face she only thought “oh right, this is a novel!” Even if no one else cared, it was at least his moment to honor and grieve her in a proper way although they were neglected no one would be able to take it away from him because they have to follow protocol but she managed to make it happen anyways.I would hate her too but i’m also super biased cause I have lost both my parents. This is oddly frustrating. They didnt even let him mourn his mother, no wonder they ended up killed by him, 100% deserved. If it had been any other manhwa, everyone would've hated the new empress who took away the place of previous empress but since she is fl's mother here, everyone has no issue with it. She is a kind woman no doubt but cant ignore the fact that she did indeed take part equally in how brother turned out to be, if she had tried stepping in to raise him after his mother passed away, then it could've ended different but her and the emperor along with everyone in the castle only dotted on the fl and spoiled her to core while brother was left and isolated. It baffles me how fl manages to make everything abt herself, brother's coldness towards her is justifiable, oh he doubts my intentions oh he hates me, im such a victim, no shit sherlock, i wonder why. Tho fl is not at fault for the actions of adult, she herself accepts that she knew how brother was being treated by her family while she enjoyed all privileges yet she did nothing. Her father would even bring the stars to her if she asked so why didnt she ever try to ask her father or mother to treat her brother equally? He would have done that even if its for fl's sake, but she didnt, instead stood there and watched while her brother turned into a monster. Even when given a second chance, instead of using her brain to gain her brother's favor she is wasting time buttering up the ml? He is not even a significant character at this point, all he did was follow the brother's order so what fl needed to do was focus on her brother, ml would obviously not harm her if brother is on her side too. And how dumb is she, her trying to help is basically infiltrating every space brother is ahead in and threaten his position, how did it not occur to her that doing things like that can eaisly make it seem like you are trying to outsmart him and take his thrown. I dont hate the brother, tho murdering is not the best solution, i can understand his pain and why he resorted to that. Imagine being neglected by your father the moment you are born, and you see him bringing in a new wife and loving her that your mother craved so much for. Imagine him doing everything to spoil his new daughter while not even giving a Dearing gaze to you, imagine him already doing everything in his power to bring support for your sister so that she can get the thrown even tho you are rightfully the first heir, imagine your father not letting you even mourn your mother for 2 minutes and ends the whole event coz his beloved daughter is slightly sick, and you hear him say "is a dead empress more important than my beloved daughter"??, then your sister, father and step mom laugh and smile just a day after the funeral like nothing happened, then your sister is now learning swords, attending meeting, keeping you check and from his perspective doing everything to take his position. Yeah I cant even fathom his pain. As I said tho fl is not directly at fault, her feigning ignorance and not trying help is what her fault is. Fl once said "I forgave brother after understanding his situation", girl who are you to forgive? God? You've unknowingly taken part in his demise too, which you yourself admitted. She is incredibly privileged, you cannot convince me that she couldn't have anything in her power to help the situation. But she didn't deserve to die, father definitely did, i hate the emporer, well cant say much abt fl's mother, power hungry woman doesn't care if they're breaking someone's home as long as they can make their own, thats how historically it been, tho she didnt do anything to help the brother atleast she is a good mom to her daughter so I'll give her that. Phew i wrote too much, anyways dont get me wrong im not in support of murdering everyone, but i think every character her is at fault, whether its fl, emperor, empress or brother even if the intensity of fault is at different levels for each.
