That's so true, honestly all of them have their own fare of issues but it feels like Ian's really the worst out of them all since it does portray Ian dragging on people, I've felt that before, it's one of the worst shits that's done to me. I've experience the way that Ian doesn't know what he wants( maybe he does but he can't let go of the toxic cycle surrounding him).

Thank you for this comment, I feel like so many are missing the point that Ian is behaving in a very toxic manner. Peole claim that they like JoxIan bc it is healthy but I don’t see anything healthy in that relationship? (it is healthy only compared to sick mafia world) I think Ian brings out the worst characteristics of Jo and turns Jo jealous and obsessive. Same could be said about TJ too.. but I feel like TJ is too deep in the dark to be saved and healed.

Agree to disagree Tj and ian never had a chance to leave each other they were both young and got trauma bonded and tj just became extra possessive and made ian stick to his side with horrible decisions like putting him in jail and making him go into debt, fucking his opportunity to go to california to pursue a career out of his passion Ian clearly holds tj with sentimental value to a degree and you can’t blame him hes been his only family and the only person at that time who shown him love and affection it was twisted love and affection but it was still love and affection. Jo and ian on the other hand comes from jo infactuation and what was supposed to be a one night stand and i do agree at the start it really did look like ian was trying to be jo fake lover for like a quick fun but after recent untranslated chapters you get shown that jo just brings more stability and a softer personality for ian that was unobtainable with tj.
Ian was toxic but people can change if the right person comes along the way.
I always think about the fact the author thinks Ian is the worst out of all their characters. The more I read the story the more I understand why. Not only is he emotionally unavailable to Jo and playing a facade of being romantically involved without knowing what he wants. He's also trying to run after TJ who has explicitly given him multiple opportunities to achieve what Ian himself has always wanted (a normal life). Ian is a walking contradiction and someone so corrupted from his past that he fails to establish what he wants in life. Jo and Tj both have goals and aspirations in life while Ian tried to mold himself in whatever way fits. Whether it's to be TJs side piece OR Jo's fake lover, he's leading these two individuals on continuously. I feel as though he doesn't know what he wants and is dragging multiple people down in order to figure it out. Trauma can't always be used as an excuse but rather an explanation, it becomes inexcusable once it starts to harm other people.
