I think it is not added for the reader's pleasure but rather because this is Lee Geom's daily life. He's raped almost everyday and repetitively just how a person who experience sexual abuse would. Anyone who experience that would also feel tired of it but that's just how it is, they'll experience that shit until their mind is tortured and couldn't take it anymore. I also love that it is rare to find someone like Wooyeon who is ready to self-sacrifice and would rather not touch Lee Geom because he wants to respect him because no one would, it's like Lee Geom's little break from all those bullshit that he continuously experienced that's why I just want them to be together without problems because I would literally breakdown if this not get a happy ending huhuhu

While I get your guys point, the patrons/rapists who SAed him are the people who he will take revenge later, he actually like already killed many of them. So I think the rape scenes are definitely unnecessary but the people involved have important roles on Lee Geom's revenge later

Yeah I get that! But all of the rape scenes make a lot of readers just not wanna read, I definitely think the author kinda screwed up by adding so many of them and making them longer than necessary

I think this is understable for people who experienced SA themselves, I'm also a victim of SA, it appeals on us in a way that it fuels our anger towards people who abused Lee Geom and towards our own experiences, at the same time made us admire and respect Lee Geom and made us, an actual SA victims, motivated because Lee Geom made it that far because he's strong minded, and I think the author had done a good job of showing how people that experienced assault felt without romanticizing it.

I get what you’re saying but I’m just talking about how all of the unnecessary rape scenes make a lot of readers not wanna read the manhwa because they are longer than necessary and are large in quantity, like someone else pointed out there are more scenes where Geom is being raped than there are where he’s consenting and the author makes the scenes far longer than they need to be to convey abuse, this makes a lot readers, just not wanna continue with the series

Honestly I can’t finish most of the chapters properly and I dropped this but personally as someone who relates to geom’s experiences to an extent, I find his thought processes, psychological reactions etc and how his personality developed to be incredibly realistic and well-depicted, even though there is visceral depictions of rape every chapter (which is what made me drop it tbh)

This is one of the reasons I dropped this story as well. The sex scenes he had with all these disguting old farts are so looong that it's nerve-wracking to read and look at.
But what bothered me the most is the depiction of the rape scenes: instead of showing a Lee Geom who should suffer from such treatment, the guy always looks in extase while having (non consenting) intercourses, like he's perfectly fine and a professional slut. I'm sorry but I genuinely don't get what are the intentions of author by showing this side to us. How can you feel sorry or root for mc's freedom in this case?
I question the choice of author by depicting what's supposed to be a tragic situation into sex scenes that look too angelical and easthetic, sensual, to be believable.
Clearly, this is not the moment to draw him in extase (-_-)# and I'm sorry to say but only disgust and the sentiment of voyeurism came to me while seeing that.
The author could've perfectly make the audience understand that he's being sexually trafficked and raped everyday without having to show us all these useless chapters with the old farts. This is clearly a miss from author.
