I don’t understand the few people out here in this comment section who dislike Ian. He’s an amazing protagonist. The idea that some people just dislike him because he “ruins” the lives of people he interacts with is insanity. He's quite literally a victim—definitely the biggest victim in this series so far. He grew up with nothing, and the closest person to him is a trashy, selfish piece of shit that he rather ruined and destroyed someone's passion and perhaps a chance for a better future outside of gang violence, then let him go from the homophobic and violent environment he stuck him in. Put, if you're ashamed to be openly gay, it's just better to make one of you suffer the homophobia and then claim to love them but still fuck pussy and then be jealous, possessive, and aggressive when they try to hook up with others because "you're mine."
