Lol if Tia “can’t communicate properly” every other character must be speaking gibberish. Tia was 100% upfront about why she wanted to marry him and what she expected of him before they tied the knot, always tells Kynel when and why she is upset while trying to understand his perspective, constantly tries to ensure they are communicating well, and actively tries to support and get to know him while being sensitive of his trauma.
In comparison Kynel doesn’t tell her when/why he’s upset and takes it out on her later, hides important things from her (ex. Her beloved maid and hawkish mother conspiring to drug her), and otherwise doesn’t let her know what’s going on or treat her as a partner.
No matter how hot Kynel is, Tia’s reactions are average at worst, but realistically far more calm, patient, and rational than how most people would react in the same situation
Bringing up other characters aren’t relevant and regardless of her “trying” she isn’t communicating properly since part of communicating is actively listening and trying to understand
Well Kynel’s behavior is relevant because they are in a relationship and you are criticizing Tia for her interactions within that relationship, which are entirely linked to Kynel’s words and actions. When has Tia ever “not communicated properly”? The only thing she ever kept from him is the baby, and that’s only because he literally told her he didn’t want a baby with her. She was previously planning to tell him, but just hadn’t found the moment, and now she’s feels justifiably betrayed for multiple reasons.
Why is it that the failures of the relationship that arise from ML’s inability/unwillingness to communicate or treat their partner right always get blamed on the FL? It’s an archaic mentality. So Tia is just supposed to sit there and smile vacantly while her husband comes and goes for days on on end without telling her anything, says numerous hurtful things to her, and otherwise disrespects her? She’s his wife, not a doll.
I feel like the ML is allowed to have as many emotional and dysfunctional reactions as he can, even past the degree where his trauma could be a legitimate cause and people will still defend their behavior, but the second the FL gets even a little “too upset” she gets crucified for far less than what the ML has done. Unfortunately we see this in real life as well. There is a long history of blaming women for the misbehavior of men within relationships. It’s not a healthy or productive mindset
She is communicating correctly. He was the one who wasnt. YOU cant think its her duty,everytime ML says something wierd or wrong she should ask - did you mean it? Why would you say it? . He is and adult.I communicate that way with kids not my husband.Ots two way street
It’s a 2 way street which means it’s on BOTH of them to communicate properly she not some perfect angel and everyone needs to stop acting like she can do no wrong
Except when it comes to communicating and maintaining the relationship, she kind of is an angel. She’s patient and understanding af even as she’s being disrespected and experiencing hurtful things, and basically pulls double duty on communication to try and make up for his deficiencies while he barely even bothers to engage with her numerous overtures. It is what it is whether you like it or not.
The only people who would react less than her in the same position are people who feel hurt but are too cripplingly timid to actually make their distress known, people who are so checked out of her relationship they no longer give a fuck how their husband treats them as long as they get their marital rights and alone time, people whipped enough to mindlessly drool after the object of their affection no matter how he mistreats them, or people who are too clueless/stupid to realize they’re being disrespected.
Tia is a functional adult who has functional adult reactions to situations. If you’re mad about it stop shipping Kynel with an actual human who would justifiably be upset with his bs and respond accordingly and ship him with a body pillow, because it will be patient no matter what and never have any emotional reactions no matter how shitty he treats it
