I think its cause he doesnt want to leave his hyung alone, thinking that if he didnt explain that the package was stolen, his hyung would think he abandoned him.
As well as you have to remember, he also took care of him even if it wasn’t a messed up way that probably didn’t care as much to him somebody that was abandoned by his parents that was love that was care and it’s been so much longer than the time that he has spent unconditionally with our ML It’s gonna take a while to be realistic.
