Bei feng and ah yun continue to meet in their place. Slowly ah yun also starts developing affection for being feng.
Some time later, being feng's senior grows suspicious of being feng, follows him and finds out about their rendezvous and rats him out to the sect leader.
On the other hand, being feng and ah yun attempt to figure out how to eliminate the gu worm from his body.
In the period of the current events the wolf leader who was enamored by the disciple who preacticed by herself in the forest, kidnaps her from the qianzen sect causing chaos. Disciples are left devastated from their senior's loss and the destruction caused.
In the sect, a storm is bubbling . The elder plans to take out the deer clan to enact revenge. He summons bei feng and confronts him secretly and accidentally finds out about their contract and traps him using the gu worm sealing his powers and leaving him unable to fend for himself. Planning to use him - the elder calls up a sect meeting and tells them a deer clan person has manipulated a-feng and bound him in a spirit contract to mind control him and destry their sect from within. Even the destruction caused by the wolf sect was a result of the collusion with the deer sect.
Misinformation spreads like wildfire and encites rage and desire for war among the members.
Ah yun is left disappointed from being fengs absence and wonders if something bad happened.
Trapped, bei feng's friend visits him in secret after begging their senior. There he tells him the whole truth of the elder's thirst for revenge and sends him off to inform ah yun to be prepared.
After informing ah yun he is captured by the deer clan and sent back in a bad condition with a scroll of acceptance for war. Ah yun is reprimanded for colluding with the enemy and grounded in his room till he sets his mind straight by his dad.
Finally war begins. The deer clan and qianzhen sect out for revenge. Bei feng also arrives in an exhausted state to do something...
Deer dad seals the elder's spiritual power after being injured and to forcefully break open the seal he plans to use the spiritual power from the gu in bei feng, senior and junior disciple's bodies.
Turns out the elder has been using dark magic to become stronger and everyone witnesses his regression and step back.
Ah yun cant him kill being feng before confessing and fights the elder losing one of his antelors in the process.
Everyone is stunned. Bei feng enraged attacks the elder as he triggers the gu in his body. Finally realising how grave the situation has actually become and the truth of the death of the deer queen and no involvement of the deer clan in the wolf thingy, the senior and disciples try to restrain the elder, many dying in the process along with the senior who finally acknowledges being feng. And together with the deer clan succeed in killing him.
Situation is bad. The qianzhen sect and the deer sect leave the place. Enimity still exists between them with both sides having lost people.
Ah yun is in shock and refuses to wake up. Bei feng is suffering from lack of spiritual power from the trigger of the gu which seems to be diffusing with the death of the controller.
Finally accessing the situation it seems like the best idea is to bring ah yun's spirit contracter to help him be cured.
The deer clan sends a messenger to the qianzhen sect to seek out the contract cultivator and bring him to the spiritual lake.
In the spiritual lake, the unconscious ah yun and being feng start sport cultivation. This lasts for days before ah yun is finally able to come to his senses. Bei feng's spiritual roots also seem to have stabilised a bit. Intimate moments and romantic political conversations later, they both go forth on their way to their own homes and meeting occasionally to aid their recovery and explore more about the spirit cultivator contracts and bonds.
Years later, ah yun becomes the chief and bei feng also becomes and elder in the qianzhen sect and also establish their relationship and be lovey dovey.
Finally as things calm down and more awareness is spread about spirit cultivator relationships, both bei feng and ah yun form the cloud sect where everyone can live together peacefully.
Having one of the pair of antelors significantly reduced ah yun's life span.
After years of being together, travelling around and spending time with each other ah yun retires and goes to explore the world with his dad as the master is left to wait for him at the cloud sect.
Alternate ending is ah yun dies early from the lack of spiritual energy from one antler, finally during his last moments he helps bei feng diaperse the gu in side his body so he may finally be free.
Master goes on to overcome grief and keeps the memories of their time together close to him refusing to take another spirit contractor and lives a jolly life taking care of his disciples at the cloud sect.
