But seriously, the whole plot is that the original author can't figure out how to win against *that* edith
the reason she couldnt win against that edith is bc she fucked around too much and found out. she wanted a suicidal edith, well she got one
saddest thing is all the other ediths probably felt the same as her when they had to face death.
bc it's literally not a matter of her being 'different' or the other ediths not being 'enough'. they literally just had to live an unfair life with nearly impossible conditions to overcome it
