Anyone inventing that wasnt there is dumb. But it is also the same when Leo stans were insisting that Leo did nothing wrong. That being rude or that he was told nothing when he was, was just wrong.
Both stans inflated the situation did not stick to the story.
i can see how that is frustrating, however i did see several leo stans admitting leo had things to work on and he had obvious flaws but if leo stans were to create false claims around jj's character like how some jj stans continued to do throughout the season for leo, i know they would have been attacked because it is unfair to try to ruin any character by making up things. no one seemed to bring this up and it was unfair for those jj stans to continue and then turn around and say "you guys have selective memory" you know?
All I saw was the opposite. The continuous hate on JJ when the perspective we're following was Leo's. So a lot of the guess work should've been on JJ because a lot of the info is from Leo's - who was drunk, partying or gaming. So I find it weird that JJ stans would invent things that wasn't there. And that is ridiculous.

Everyone only see Leo as the “bigger victim” in all of this, disregarded how horrible he was as a boyfriend (you say acknowledge, but they also take lightly of the things he did as something that isn’t a big deal), and blaming JJ for staying in the relationship for 5 years “without communicating”. Even tho we have said we don’t know if JJ never actually communicated people still didn’t want to admit it until the author had to explicitly show it through this chapter and then they go “well… Everyobody makes mistakes ykno” even tho y’all were quick to label him as a useless boyfriend who couldn’t communicate and stayed as doormat for 5 years. If you think the shoe doesn’t fit then you don’t have to feel offended about it LMAO. But let’s not have selective memory here.
Exactly. We never even said Leo stans are making shit up we just said people refuse to see things from a larger and unbiased perspective because the narrative has always been from Leo’s POV. So it’s easier to sympathize and feel sorry for him, and resenting his partner instead even tho we SHOULD HAVE KNOWN there’s two sides to everything. Majority of people didn’t even try to understand JJ’s POV because people were too invested in Leo’s that’s why they demonized him a lot as a horrible boyfriend even tho they’re both at fault. Only when the obvious is laid here people started having selective memory about their biased opinion and say things like “we would never do such thing!” but they have been subconsciously.
Also a last PSA, my topic is meant in a general sense. If the shoe doesn’t fit you then you’re fine. But let’s not act like majority of people didn’t do what I mentioned because it’s very obvious they did.
Haven't read any that demonized Leo that was not in the chapters, I.e cheating or being a slut. All I read was point out what Leo did wrong, that was enough grounds for someone to quit and break up. Because I would also argue that those were not in the chapters and those would be a far reach. From skinship (say he's drunk or Italian) is a far from cheating or flirting. That's mad. But again, haven't read those.
The argument was always and supposedly only about how Leo was wrong that he was never told anything and how he behaved is not enough grounds to upset anyone and break up. Because they are.
My whole original post is regarding the fact how some jj stans have claimed and made false lies about leo in this comment section. It happened almost every week and for every post luckily people replied to correct them, and jj stans proceeded by deleting their comment rather than accept the fact they were twisting the story to fit their leo narrative. If you want to talk about "the jj hate" "the leo hate" "whos the real bigger victim" that is it's own separate topic. I'm not referring about having strong opinions because this story is full of strong opinions for jj and leo. my post is about people STATING lies about leo. Look i've seen hateful opinions saying they feel leo is narcissistic or full to blame, like whatever, that's an opinion jj stans feel, ok but TO KEEP STATING that a lie is fact is not ok with me and thats what my original post is about. I was originally not going to post this since it looks like the plot is heading towards healing but its not just me that noticed that the drama started incoming when jj stans starting coming in for this chapter calling out everyone as selective readers after this chapter. and for the next time don't go ahead calling people babes it makes people uncomfortable but apparently seems to be a habit with the jj stans to call people names.
Well the shoe didn't fit since my post is about some jj stans who made lies saying they were facts and then people corrected them and jj stans went on to delete pretending nothing happened. My post never said i was insisting or trying to convince people on a certain opinion?...
"We never even said Leo stans are making shit up " well thats because leo stans never made up shit about jj, sure there are different pov and opinions formed but leo stans never claimed jj was cheating or that he had a public instagram account for clout, because that would be LYING about jj. it seemed to me the jj stans who lied and deleted their posts were desperate to have people on their side for jj to point of making false claims which was useless because the author would be sharing more pov's like last week. im not saying it was you but there were accounts here who made up lies and had to then delete them when people told them to reread the chapter. theres a big difference between having a strong negative opinion vs lying. and my post that you replied to was me referring to the jj stans who have lied about leo. you can call out and try to say all leo stans have selective reading but dont turn a blind eye to the jj stans who had no reading skills at all
So don’t quote me next time if the shoe don’t fit. Because it’s clear your point and my point are different. I’m talking about people who have differing opinions and people were attacking anyone who would even try to understand JJ’s pov. When I first read this (this was in the early chapters) I literally just said I sympathize with JJ and people attacked me. Then I saw a few other people doing the same. Whenever they make a neutral opinion about how both of them are wrong before Leo’s behavior was shown, the thumbs up and down ratio would be JARRING (10 thumbs up vs 21 thumbs down) and all the comments are just going “WELL LEO DID HAVE HIS WRONGS BUT JJ IS AT FAULT HE DIDNT GIVE LEO A CHANCE TO CHANGE” (and all the other excuses with mass people defending them)
Again, THAT is what I meant by selective memory. You clearly seen my post and what I talked about I never said about false claims SO DONT QUOTE ME NEXT TIME.
its funny how jj stans want to act like saints as if they have never done anything wrong and trying to call out everyone else for "selective memory" when they were the ones who were constantly having poor reading comprehension to the point of making up lies about leo every week. it's not even selective reading, it was straight up making lies to the point we weren't reading the same story. i still remember the made up cheating allegations, calling leo a s*ut in the beginning of the story. i remember jj commenters saying leo was an attention seeker who purely wanted clout and didnt care for jj's feelings because his instagram was full of photos of them when in reality...it was a private instagram account! i mean cmon you don't even have to have reading skills, just look at the pictures and you can see his instagram is private?! jj stans were also saying "are we reading the same thing?" and they would proceed to say jj has alot of unresolved trauma to unpack when referring to a specific dialogue line, trying to insinuate that leo had more blame when in reality that dialogue line was leo's not jj! all of these types of comments luckily had people correcting them which lead to jj stans deleting their poorly attempt to blame leo because they ran out of stuff for him. even when i would make simple posts discussing my own thoughts i had jj stans call me names instead of discussing the story. anyways both of these characters have alot to work on still and the're on the path to make things right and thats what matters.
