Yk I love the development of Dr.Seok in "rainbow city" (this is a BL if you don't mind) and Im talking about the novel, not the manhwa. Also SPOILERS
Cause at the beginning, he's your average genius, with a weak body, obsessed with rocks and doesnt really know much about the outside world. But as the story progresses, he learns more about the corruption of the government, the world outside of the city after the apocalypse and as the story goes on even more, he suffers through so much, getting set up, watching the person he loves almost die right in front of his eyes, getting kidnapped, getting bitten by zombie, suffering from a deadly fever, even finding out the death of his mom was no accident and just ultimately having to push his weak body to the limits all to simply be able to distribute the real vaccine to the people and still in the end becomes the final host of the new virus meaning he won't be able to go near anybody (besides the ml who is immune to the virus). And the entire city wants him dead. AND YET HE STILL MANAGES TO SURVIVE BECAUSE EVEN AFTER ALL OF IT, ALL HE WANTED TO DO WAS LIVE AS A NORMAL PERSON ITS JUST SO SO SAAAAAD. At the end, obviously he doesn't just suddenly become OP BUFF GUY but it's just so emotinal to see him once being a spoiled, naive little hamster to finding out how ugly the world truly was and still deciding to live on after being treated like a germ after saving everyone. UGHHHHHHHEGEOOEN MY BABY DESERVES THE WORLD
Anyone know any stories where the MC struggles a lot and where we get to see them develop and grow as a character and not like where they automatically become OP or anything I really want to see them grow
