Honestly I really like this cause it depicts a form of abuse in a very slow paced but realistic manner. It's the not so little things that pile up.
In these Korean stories it's usually super dramatic like a guy who never loved her and only used her for her hard work while cheating on her every time she goes to chemo therapy or something....here we see he actually did care about her, not that long ago.
But something happened and he forgot it, letting his ego and unchecked pride in the way. It's a slow death. I like how they handled it, and how he thinks he still has a chance. It doesn't feel as crazy(believe me tho it still v much is) because in a world without the ml I think she WOULD go back with him. That's how victims operate.
But here thankfully he exists so she gets to escape that.
Now the crazy son of a ceo-mobster thing could be done with. I'm tired of it. Idgaf, frankly. Can we not just have a good dude be a ml. Does it have to be the son of a chaebol who's probably killed someone to be edgy. Lmfao
