I think the rating is because of the second half of season one and all of season two, where there’s no toxicity. Unfortunately this follows the korean manhwa stereotype of rape first romance later :/ It does have an interesting plot line and good art though
The plot is excellent! Plus, as much as I hate rpe because the MLS are fucking pieces of shit, but not with Jaeshin. He's a ass at first because he is half ghost, he's been living 500 years trying to deny and outright refuse to live like a human. He hated them and used them solely for his own pleasure. But the curse the underworld placed upon him really humbles him quick.
Jaeshin really does try and his heart really changes so fast. Idk... Maybe it's not so much that he changes, but that he just accepts his human side filled with love, compassion, fear etc. This is not to say this excuses his rping behavior... There's just more to it.
Jaeshin is the MC in this story which is refreshing to have the top be the MC.
The second half of season 1 is where it starts to ramp up. Also, only in like chapter 33-35 I think, is there an SA scene, and that's due to a "ghost rut."
I'm on chapter 17 and all I'm seeing it's rape rape rape. So I don't understand the high rating. Is it because the art it's good?
