I don’t think a blond with blue eye depiction would be the end of the world. Stereotypical, yeah maybe. It’s the same as the rest of the world depicting Asians as dark haired/eyed.

I understand it’s frustrating that in like basically 90% of manhwas, Americans are white. Most of these comics are made by East Asians, who have a long history of obsessing over a light complexion. In the Asian community, it’s known that there’s also quite a bit of racist behavior from EAs to other Asians because of superiority complexes (also the skin color) So it doesn’t surprise me when they always go for the same trope.

Unfortunately, you’ll see many stories with the same looking characters. Maybe when the newer generations grow up, there’ll be more diversity when it comes to characters from other countries.

i know i am late but i really do be upset too. I am american black and native so even when i see a lot of black authors i wish we would get the regular tropes that i love like this one. Having to know that they really only like lighter skin. Go for some lightskins it's not that hard for them to make dark skin characters i have seen enough to know they just refuse to make them good mc. Cause they have to either look a certain way Barbarian, elf, child, or exaggerated facial features. It's sad. But i fully support your thoughts.

Man it's nice to know we share the same thoughts because I genuinely want to see more of us in media....I'm so sick of feeling like an alien on the planet I was born on.
