So I’m scrolling through mangago’s newest updates, searching for something new to give a read to. Then I click on this and scroll down to the comments…

MC is together with FL due to some promise to be with her and no one else but 500+ chapters later he develops idiocy and poor decision making skills… insert harem-

Scroll up to chapters… wtf are these decimals doing in the chapter titles? It’s not even once or twice? Partial chapter uploads for real?

Naw, F this. This series has 800+ chapter submissions and maybe 400+ actual chapters - this thing requires commitment dedication. I ain’t investing that much time into something with clear issues before I even start.

I do understand where you’re coming from and I was a bit skeptical too. I’m not normally a fan of harems but this one didn’t just have the girls throw themselves at the mc, while they were interested in him slightly he did have to work for them. They also have history with him in his past and some were a bit tragic so that they get sweeter lifetimes than before.

It’s not perfect by any means but I got invested both in this and it’s novel years ago enough to reread quite a few times. MC is shameless but in a funny and good way and not the typical “how dare you not know of my existence, your entire clan is getting massacred” type. The comedy kept me reading it and I came to like all the characters individually even the side ones. There’s a lot so it took me a bit to keep up with them and the clans but I thought it was worth it.

I haven’t read the novel in years and don’t know if they added more girls to the harem or not besides the two original girls. It seemed like it was possible but again they didn’t just throw themselves at the mc and they aren’t just plot devices that are thrown away the next arc either. Like shit much further on one of them that might possibly get added it the MC actually hated her with every fiber of his being because of their past. I didn’t like her much at first but I grew to like her in the novel.
