genuinely so confused on whats happening in the story

they share a past life so everything has to do with their connection. the uke has night terrors without the seme and the seme probably gets more sick or something without the uke. it seems only the seme knows what happened in their past life and for some reason he can’t tell the uke about it if he wants the night terrors to go away.

my guess is the seme has to make the uke fall in love with him naturally for them to get rid of whatever curse they have
