This is so misogynistic, I hate mangas where all the women are presented as annoying, vain people. It's especially sad when they're made by women as well, we can do better than this ┗( T﹏T )┛

To be fair, since the top isn't used to hanging out with "nice" people, it makes sense that were introduced to only people that aren't nice. Other than that, people can be horrid regardless of gender.

The women didn't seem to be presented as annoying imo? It didn't seem like the author framed them as unjustified or dramatic. It's js that the mc(?) saw them as a hassle due to his fuckboy tendencies. I mean, I probably just didn't read into it enough.

I didn’t get that feeling. She doesn’t seem excessively annoying more that the seme is annoyed at her, same with the uke. Also, consider the crowd he gathers beinf a huge F-Boy, he’s not much better than her and the uke isn’t much different from her

Yeh I thought uke was the one being portrayed as being annoying with them being so persistent

I personally disagree. The seme is a playboy and he attracts women into that kind of sex that may want something more and get pushed away by him. But he pushes aways pretty much everyone to begin with. You're overthinking this whole issue imo. These women are even less pushy than the bottom was.

You're the only one who saw all of them ad annoying here, yeah the mom is damn brat, but the other???
Wonder who is the true misogynistic one here?

Guys, let's not pretend that misogyny, internalised and outright doesn't have a dark streak in BL. The women in this manga are portrayed as mere substance for conflict, and most of them don't even have faces. The deepest perspective we get from a woman is from a girl talking about cheating on her boyfriend. I'm not saying you're bad people for enjoying this, cause I love this mangaka too! But that doesn't mean we can't acknowledge bad habits, and think a bit critically about the media we consume (๑•ㅂ•)و✧

If the criticism is that she’s annoying, that’s not a very good one. Nor does she seem “vain”.. I have no idea where you got that either.. She makes no comment on her own appearance, nor does she seem to use it to her advantage. Objectively, the uke is the most annoying. If ur criticism was about the stereotypes and the woman cheating on her boyfriend because they weren’t doing well, I bet the responses would’ve been vastly different. There is a problem with misogyny in yaoi that occurs often, but the problems you specifically wrote about, weren’t applicable.

Remember that these are fictional woman the mangaka is presenting a certain way. I think that was their intention, and it is a bit of a pattern with their work. I'm not talking about one character in particular, but how the women are generally portrayed. Nowhere did I mention one particular character. I respect your opinion though but I don't agree

None of the women seemed like annoying imo, yes there is a misogyny problem in bl, I acknowledge that as well, but I don't see that here. Yes, the mangaka could very well be a misogynist who knows, we don't know them. But it doesn't seem to at least be expressed here. All the women just seemed to be expressed as annoying from the seme's perspective because he had a bad experience from his mom and he's a playboy that hates commitment. None of the women seemed really vain or annoying, just like regular young women that are mad cause that dude kept playing w their feelings.

I’ve read all their work (minus bros lmao) but off the top of my head I can’t think of a single woman that fits the “annoying and vain” stereotype you mentioned. I actually can’t think of any woman at all really. There is clearly misogyny and stereotypes in the portrayal of the women in this comic, but what you said, wasn’t it. No one in particular was portrayed as annoying nor vain. Except for literally the uke People are just annoying from the perspective of the seme but that isn’t objective. Especially considering that it’s his fault he attracted that type of crowd.

Misogyny is a huge issue in BL manga, and what you pointed out in this manga definitely perpetuates these issues. You can still enjoy someone’s work and at the same time critique what they’re lacking and hope for improvement. It+s not difficult to see that the women in this manga is not valued as much as the men.
