So its a past life-new life plot. Ido and Sejin were married for business reasons. Ido was cold and distant with Sejin.
Then things happened like Sejin stole the usb and went into heat infront of Ido. So Ido assumed Sejin just wanted a baby to tie him down. Basically he hated that Sejin was an omega. Things worsened. Sejins father framed him for stuff and Ido had to bail him out. (Which is why he made Sejin step down from his old company immediately, so he isn't implicated in his family's fraudulent business)

Now Sejin once alone at home, goes into heat, is raped by Kwon's brother. Kwon by that time had started liking Sejin and when he saw Sejin in that condition he assumed that he cheated. Sejin too didn't clear up the misunderstanding, egged him on. Cut to Kwon too raping Sejin. Sejin gets pregnant (probably Kwon's but sejin isn'tsure). But this is too much for him because he is traumatized, Ido isn't even looking at him. He has no home, so he goes to Ido's study and shoots himself. Ido sees that, tries to stop him, but Sejin dies in his arms. Ido by this time had figured that Sejin was assulted so he is guilty and ends up following in Sejins footsteps.

Then we switch to this timeline where he plans to let Sejin go after giving him a company and saving him from his family. Hence the no-engagement-ring is actually for Sejins benefit so he has a clean slate. He doesn't mark Sejin toll Sejin actually begs him to, towards the end of the story. With marking, they share their memories and Sejin figures everything out and leaves.
Rest is predictable. It's a happy ending

so the ml was an absolute shit husband in their first life after Sejin handed the documents over to his dad (which he did because he was scared to be abandoned).

ML continued to ignore Sejin to the point where he begged the ml one night that he would do anything just so he could forgive him and have a better relationship (this was at the point where Sejin had no one, and no family to rely on). The ml who was drunk, (not excusable) told him to kneel and forced Sejin to give him a blowjob to the point where his throat swelled and he couldn’t eat the next few days. After that Sejin gave up trying to seek his attention and was wasting away at the house.

One day ml’s brother randomly came over to the house and found Sejin to be in heat, he horrifically assaulted him and told Sejin that he was a ‘gift’ given to him by his brother. This completely broke Sejin’s heart.

Sejin had help to run away from the house and heal at his old apartment, he was there for 2 days. ML finally found him to then see the state of him and demanded to know what happened. Sejin said that he had “sex” with his brother, just like the ml wanted and he would do it again if ml also wanted.
This angered him to the point where the ml r*ped him almost exactly the same way as his brother. He also imprinted on him by biting his neck (in this story I think you can gain memories and emotions from the other person). After one-sidedly imprinting him, Sejin found himself back at ml’s house basically imprisoned with a bodyguard following him.

The ml never showed himself (only when Sejin was pretending to sleep he would talk to his body).
Sejin would usually starve so a doctor would come over and give him IV. He was extremely depressed, and lonely. He had no where to go.

A couple of months pass I believe and he hasn’t gotten any heats, the doctor told him he was pregnant and would have to take better care of his health.
This obviously was not what Sejin wanted as firstly he didn’t know who was the father, and secondly he doesn’t want to give birth an heir of the family.
He walked to the study at night and found the gun mounted to a wall, he sat at the desk and pointed the gun to his chest where it hurt the most.
ML arrived at this time to see this and begged Sejin not to, Sejin was finally happy to see the ml one last time and shot himself. He ended up dying in ML’s arms.

So if he leaves how is that a happy ending? I thought they stayed together? I want a happy ending

Kwon is pretty much suicidal after Sejin leaves so he goes and begs them to get back together. Sejin eventually agress and forgives him because he spent this life making up for it
