I think the bad ratings are from before the officials came out. I’m realizing that the original translation made it harder to follow and really get into the story because it was a little rough.

That's true it was machine translation on the early days so maybe readers that got frustrated with that helped with the bad ratings. I let it simmer myself till we finally got decent translations. Or maybe the fact that the mc also developed stockholm syndrome got to them
What got this story got for me was the ML did not even understand that his actions were wrong because of the messed up way he was raised. But when he did realize it, he did everything in his power to make sure that MC got what he wanted. It’s just so well-written and one of the very few times an ML in a confinement BL manhwa is actually worth forgiving unlike all the others we see out there. Anyways makes sense on the translations!
Why do you care about the ratings? If you find it interesting, just start reading a few comments, the summary, or plain just the firts few chapters
Well the ratings is the only thing you see when a manhwa is on a list so it may turn some people off from a good story. That’s all.
I think the ratings are mainly bc he got kidnapped and raped but maybe ts just me..
I'm not saying I don't see it, but it's not my main reason to read or to not read something. Even if it has a 10.0 or a 2.0 rating
