The empress actually knows but she doesn’t have any evidence and didn’t want to accused lilliana and if she push it that the princess is her daughter and it turns out wrong, it would only be unfair to her real daughter which she really loves. She doesn’t want any thing that would risk the princess so they stay quiet.
