Their relationship is just that simple. One is crazy, one is capable to accept that craziness. It is frustrating to read, as the main characters are a walking red flag and a doormat. To seek a proper and healthy relationship is just impossible. This is just story about toxic relationship.
does this mean if there's another person tthat can accept Lee Wooyeon, he'll cling to them instead? Unlike Choi Inseop where it has to be Lee Wooyeon himself? also,.i kinda dont understand. why does Lee Wooyeon need Choi Inseop? like i know he's mentally ill, but what need of his is being fulfilled by Choi Inseop? control?
Okay. Spoiler alert okay.
Lee Wooyeon, he's sick. Like, really sick. What he feels toward Choi Inseop is different than love, and it is worse than obsession. He, literally, cannot survive without Choi Inseop. He will die. Or he'll go to prison. Or mental hospital. He wants Choi Inseop's whole life. Mine. Mine. Mine. He'd often think. It's not romantic. And he knows it. He fvking knows it. And yet, he clings to Choi Inseop like a madman, because that's the only way for him to live. He'd tap his head and say stuffs like, "This thing is broken." He'd do this to remind himself and Choi Inseop that he's not normal, and he's not capable of giving Inseop normal.
"Love me, like a normal person," Inseop would say but that's impossible for Lee Wooyeon. He's a lunatic, he's crazy alright.
I often think, while reading the novel - especially during the first volume (btw, it's not easy to read this volume, it's painful lol), how could Choi Inseop continue to love Lee Wooyeon. How? Lee Wooyeon is unlovable!
But, as I read through multiple chapters (currently we have six volumes in the novel - and the latest chapter in this manhwa is from the first volume only), I understood why. It is simply because he is Choi Inseop. Not just because he is the protagonist, okay, it is because he is Choi Inseop. He was made to accept all of Lee Wooyeon. Other characters I read would love their ML because of what those MLs do, like bc of these little things they do, etc, but Choi Inseop, he loves Lee Wooyeon because that is what he is. He unconditionally loves.
While I was reading this, I'd furrow my brows, wince in pain, shake my head! What's happening? Why, why, why. I'll have these thoughts, lol. But, I'll smile, and laugh, because Lee Wooyeon is fvking funny, you have to give him that. His thoughts are vile and his mouth is shameless - especially when he is teasing. I'm 100% sure that he is the president of CEO Kim and Manager Cha ship.
On the other hand, Lee Wooyeon is scary, and violent, and like a ticking bomb. No sane person would want to be with him. He knows this, so he trapped the only person who accepts him. As I said, it's not romantic.
Will I reread the novel? Maybe.
Will I read this manhwa? Definitely.
Are the characters good and lovable? Hell no.
Do I recommend this? No. This is not for everyone. :)
Did I enjoy my time reading their story? Yes!
