Imagine investing so much in someone, only to realize they’ve been playing a role the whole time.So, yes, Jake’s not a gangster is good news, but it doesn’t excuse the fact that he’s deceived Shin and invalidated his feelings the whole chapter

No, it's not that he likes bad boys. He felt betrayed by jay. Jay made him believe that the both of them are at the 'bottom'. He thought he knew something about jay but no, he didn't. He was ready to throw everything for jay at any minute but then got slap right in the face with the truth. He 'abandon' gren, his only family, well of course it's only a matter of time before gren self-destruct (mostly, because he was influence by jay, it was Jay who gave him reasons to make him 'abandon' gren) He's not just angry or betrayed, he's hurting too. Imagine being ready to give up everything for that one person just to realise that you don't know a thing about them while the other person knows everything about you.
