It doesn’t go very deep, MC’s dad worked for ML’s parents and ML met him a few times when he was kid and then ML saw teenage MC one more time when he saved him from getting beat up and then they didn’t meet again until the story began, that’s kind of as far as it goes I’m pretty sure
