I'm a fan of alpha x alpha exactly for that reason. In most alpha x alpha, both uke and seme stand on the same ground, both have flaws and are generally is just more realistic and dynamic....
Omega x alphas usually have twink campy ukes and the uke and alpha do NOT stand on the same level, extreme power imbalance and whatnot, which I guess aligns with a lot of ppl's fetish but ugh not for me

Idk bout u guys but despite not being a fan of alphaxalpha, this is SO GOOD. I LOVE HOW FLAWED THESE CHARACTERS ARE. The way the author didn't give a linear approach (the flashbacks) to the story makes you anticipate on the story on why they're the way they are. I think I like the way it makes you think. Only problem I had is, the start of the story is a little confusing. That may be the reason why the story doesn't get the recognition it deserves
