what?? i'm laughing when i read your topic. bcs the injury have have a big role for the next plot/chapter. i'm sorry if you don't know bcs didn't read the novel, but the people who read it (including me) must confused about it. i can't talk about it bcs it'll be spoiler. but your sentence is so low, it's like we love to see someone get abused (when the reality it's not!)( ̄へ ̄)

As a reader myself I understand how this part that was changed in the manhwa was so anticlimatic, especially when ML went and see her state which is so bad that any readers would feel so worry about her...but in manhwa, it's actually good that it didn't went as the novel, it felt awful already reading that part, gladly her manhwa version didn't suffer as much... though the suffering she experienced in the novel was something necessary to see how ML loses his mind but I'm glad that I won't see those things in manhwa too.

I think it's more about the consequence of the situation. Like if she's badly beat up it makes the decision to go through with her execution look more devastating and speaks to the amount of control the author has. If her face is just fine it kinda validates the the fact that she's a villain and conspired with her family because if you were actually kidnapped and taken away why is you all proper ? Also it's for the running away thing; the only part that was recognizable was her hair so she could easily go into hiding, but if she's still recognizable regardless her decision holds less weight.
In conclusion, it's for the drama and angts factor and it's lost in translation. It's rare to find manwhas that will delve in those subjects in a serious not squeaky clean way so we just want to see it. But I get that those subject might not be best approached in a manwha.
Why everyone is obsessed with her face and want to see her beaten up so badly?
