ch 29 - Seyeon couldn’t be more wrong about her brother.

My many cents on this after reading ig again ::
When I read this the first time, I didn’t care much for the prince and blamed him for a lot of things but on my second read, I think most of the issues came from Yeon himself. He misunderstood a lot and came to conclusions by himself.

Firstly, Yeon was the one that went to the prince for forgiveness. There was indication that the prince was angry & he didn’t even wait for the next day. He went to the palace immediately.

The prince said he wasn’t offended that Seyeon didn’t go through with the marriage and clarified lots of times that he didn’t like Seyeon like that

In ch 25, while the prince didn’t explicitly say the words “I love you” but the things he said can be alluded to feelings of love and affection. In ch 31, he told Yeon that he was his lover. In ch 35, when the prince was hurt that Yeon wished to part ways, he kept telling himself he was seeing things and the prince couldn’t possibly be hurt.

Everyone apart from Yeon can see how much the prince adores him & showers him with affection but I don’t blame him for not seeing/getting it.

As much I can blame the prince/ emperor about not being clear, Yeon went back to him by himself multiple times.
