i think that was what takenaka felt for rui? iirc the text said his feelings are different for umino and rui because he has kind of an admiration for rui bc rui “shines” to him. plus the thing during the graduation which also implies a relationship between the two

I think they get it wrong, author did say Takenaka's feelings toward Umino were "many" (don't remember the exact words) and Rui were more of admiration since he feels like Rui is so shinny
I wonder where's the story of the side couple. It's not like it'll be an original one, but I bet it's super sweet and I'd love to read it.
