in further chapters/side stories it is stated that uke has always been smart. he's so smart that he's studying at one of the top universities in korea through scholarship (prob why he was able to be a tutor).
so he's far from stupid but seme keeps manipulating situations so that uke always feels stupid or make seemingly stupid decisions
......Sorry, I just wanna say that book smart people and street smart people are two different categories, lol... (my house's student is the provincial top math scorer, but she's still chronically clueless for everything else.)
But I somewhat understand that uke doesn't have much options here given how powerful the ML is. He's not just a red flag, he's vanta black.
I was reading the comment bellow me and was like, "Huh, do people think ml isn't red flag? I think normal thinking people would know that he's not just a red flag, he's an abuser and a criminal!" But one scroll down the comments made me think other wise.
I don't think other people realize that abuse ruins you, not just your life but your whole personality. "Mc is stupid." Uh... He's a victim of abuse, constant fucking abuse. Sure he's living a somewhat 'good life' right now, but if your definition of good life is having the money to spend without working hard, you're a sad excuse for a person.
