I will always be uncomfortable, well not uncomfortable, but I hate Omega men being called wife. Like that is a man bruh he’s a fucking husband omg like omegaverse is not men turning into women. It’s just men who can give birth and shit. Like come on bruh it’s so annoying to me so I get really happy when I stumble upon stories and omega verse and it’s like this is my husband I BE LIKE PRAISE THE GODSS and I feel the same way about kids calling them mama. Like no that is not mama that is dada. Both are and can be dada like damn

That's why you need to set a different mindset when reading bl ..it's omegaverse not our normal world ...fiction fiction...but i also feel awkward when the kid calls them mama and mommy ....

depends on how you define the words. by law in my country, the person giving birth is the mother. culturally it's aside from that also often defined as the woman being the main caregiver, given birth herself or not. then again you can have a stepmother that doesn't live with you and is defined as mother by the marriage to the father alone. and then you have the mother in law too.

culturally it makes sense that male omegas also get called wives and mothers because aside from being male, (technicallyyyy intersex) they have the same cultural role as the female gender, i personally don't think those titles are reserved for the female sex only, why would a woman get called mother bc she gave birth but a male omega father despite giving birth too? that would also be confusing af, especially if consindering that products, care etc. concerning heat, pregnancy, health care, contraceptives would always apply for female and male omegas so they would always have to address male omegas specially as fathers

considering the struggle with trans termini in real life already, i would guess a real abo world mother would simply be a sex neutral word, it's a world where men can have children afterall and not rl ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭

then again, sensitive ppl will always find something dumb and small things to criticise a good story and a plot.

I mean, yeah, I don’t even know if that’s culturally because I feel like that’s everywhere in the world where it’s like but I don’t think it’s only who gives birth. I think it’s really is linked to your gender in my opinion. like you would never call a man, mother or mama so when I see it in omega verse it feels very heteronormative Like someone HAS to be in the “women’s” position. I also feel like it wouldn’t be confusing. It’s like this is a man, but alas, this is not real, but also applying it to trans life. I feel like that’s another thing where it’s like they’re called what they look like but that’s me though. Cause I feel as though it wouldn’t be confusing for a child cause they call you what they’re taught to call you. It’s not like it’s programmed in their brain to call you mama they learned that through television, the people, the stuff they watch etc. So for me, I feel like if a trans man gave birth like many of them do, at the end of the day they get called dada, and referred to as father, because they’re a man . You know wat I mean? But like you said this isn’t real, I just wanted to complain a bit but this was a nice Convo we had because I feel like you really got into it.

I think something like that just depends on the family. That could be their dynamic you don't know. Some gay couples have dynamics like that. I see nothing wrong with it. You're kind of being rude to be honest. If you don't like something don't read it ( ̄へ ̄)

I don’t really think I’m being rude. I feel like it’s obviously something that’s pushing heteronormativity if I’m being real like it’s nearly every story. Like yeah It could be their dynamic but it’s literally like almost every omega verse and it feels heteronormative. That’s kind of obvious. I’m just saying and pointing that out lol

It honestly feels like it. I'm so tired of people getting mad or "uncomfortable" when a fictional character aka another world have their own names and dynamics
Honestly an Omega being called Wife or Husband makes no difference as they are technically intersex. AND why are we labeling it based on our ways anyways?
