Right!!! So many yaoi stories have uke being weak, pure, innocent and then the seme being playboy, rough, super experienced, doesn’t understand what it means not needing to sleep around. Gosh I’ve just really come to hate that trope a lot over time. ヽ(`Д´)ﾉ

Yesss you're so right! And ANOTHER thing I'm really tired of is the trope of (both for yaoi and shoujo) mc that is super ordinary in appearance (and social status) x male lead that is the most handsome man anyone has ever seen and the one that EVERYBODY wants, especially when side characters comment on that and make it known that the mc isn' at his "level". Like, can't we have more stories where the mc is the one who's the most attractive and an ordinary male lead for a change? Is it for self-insert purposes or something? There are a few I can't remember, but usually at most they are equal
With most omegaverse/yaoi stories the uke is.either portrayed as dumb and even if they are smart they look extremely weak. The seme usually overshadows the uke by being really smart and if not that stronger than the uke. I personally got.tired of.that so thank you for making the uke on equal level and not some weak or dumb character.
