Is this book insinuating that in Korea you can call the cops tell them someone uses drugs and they go and question that person!?!? Please tell me that is pure fiction because it screams Salem Witch Trials energy

    short answer, probably yes.

But I'm not reading these paragraphs.

"South Korea's drug policy is considered one of the strictest in the world. The country's approach to drug use includes:

    Prohibition
South Korean law prohibits citizens from using drugs, even abroad in countries where it is legal. This includes cannabis, which is illegal to use, cultivate, transport, or possess in South Korea, even abroad.

    Random drug testing
South Korean ports of entry often conduct random drug tests.

    Punishment
Citizens who are found to have used cannabis abroad can be sentenced to up to five years in prison when they return to South Korea.

    Public reminders
The South Korean government regularly reminds its citizens of the prohibition on drugs. "
