Overly high rating?

I do not understand why this manga is as highly rated as it is.

If this is supposed to be a love relationship from the start, and the uke makes a point of saying more than once that his lover never 'forces' him, than wtf is up with the continuing on with business after he passes out? Sex with a partner unable to provide consent is rape, which under some storylines can still be readable, but it's too denialist in this, especially given that the earlier parts of the storyline show that is how they started their relationship.

On top of that, I find the art off-putting - overly big ape-like hands, strange shading on faces that makes the noses sometimes look like they've been squashed, etc.

Did not like it at all.

I dont think that not giving consent is rape. Don't tell me you always ask your partner if you want to have sex. Sometimes in a relationship it just happens. If he rejects having sex with Chiharu then it is rape. Also, in real world most gay prefer guys who are buff. If you just want boys love and some fluffy stuff then I advice you to read shounen-ai.

Either you didn't properly read, or you do not comprehend. I did not say that lack of explicit consent is rape - there are certainly times when both parties have an mutual unspoken understanding. I said that sex with a partner UNABLE to give consent is rape, which is completely true by the books of law and morality. I also said that rape as part of the storyline can be readable, but that I didn't like the denialist aspect of this.

It is highly rater because people made it and enjoy reading it .It is not your taste but there are people which enjoys it.and when uke himself said it that he didn't force him that mean he don't mind his partner having sex with him even he has passed out .He has given his consent to him that's why uke said he haven't forced him right if he haven't he would have said when he wakes up you shouldn't do that .But he didn't which means he is okay with it

Most of yaoi, i say most but almost all of them hv forcing sex on the one they like.
And yes it is not ok.
But as Tagame sensei says, a clear cut between fantasy and reality is needed in order to read yaoi and enjoy it.
    Yaoi, porns, they r fantasy.
In real life, we must all treat our partner with care, respect, and love.
    This.is.a.fantasy.

As I already said, I can read rape as part of the storyline sometimes, but I don't think this is well done at all. And again, weird art...

It seems to me, if the uke told the seme to pull out of him after he's unconscious, the seme would do as he said. Having said that, I also think the uke would never tell him that. I think they are both possessive in that way.
And I agree about the noses.
