Did he originally want her? Like did he meet her when they were younger?

Also does she gain confidence within the first 26 chapters or is she still in self-doubt mode cuz that gets kinda annoying after a while lol

She gains confidence pretty quickly like they get called back to the capital after a couple of months because of the older sisters engagement and by this time the fl and ml have grown closer
(the spend like every day together like walking in the garden, going into town or reading in the library as well as the fl can always come into his office if she wants she does this more after the capital trip tho )
and they get to the capital and have like two weeks before the date of visiting her family and everyday they go sightseeing or so

He pretty much immediately proves that he wants to be with her

As for did he want her?
Yes the shitty dad lied , when the managed to finish up peace talks and end the war the king threw a ball to celebrate it the ml was there but he wasnt at the dancefloor he looked at it from a balcony on the upper floors cause hed have to leave the next day to the border to finish everything up
While there standing next to one of the kings aids and watching the festivities one of the servants with a tray of drinks fell / started kneeling down in the middle of the floor
The servant managing the floor went to him and told him to get up and start working and then left him sitting there on the floor

The ml saw everything and asked the aid about the girl ( fl ) to wich he replied that's one of the Farenheit daughters , and ml wondered about the deep loneliness in those purple eyes

When he was about to leave the king told him hed give him a price for ending the border conflict and hed like for him to get married after all he is almost thirty and any woman would be happy with him after all he is strong, loyal and would protect her and that alone can make any woman happy

So he told the king he'd like to marry the Farenheit daughter with purple eyes

So yeah the father lied because if rumors got out about others proposing to her he values would sky rocked thats why he lied i want the jewel of Farenheit to make him as much money as possible
