I honestly suggest just reading more into it. The whole point of his job is to show the consequences of her actions for discriminating against people who are less fortunate than her hence why he made her go bankrupt.

I do agree that sending her son to get beaten up was a bit too far but in a way, it's to also teach him a lesson too (but luckily we do find out he's actually just a good kid that was influenced by his mother's actions)

Yea, but I think the difference for me between when the teens/older kids get beat up and this time is that the older kids know better, they know what theyre doing. This time, it’s just a boy repeating what his mom says, he doesn’t know any better at all and doesn’t really deserve to be punished like that (getting bullied or going bankrupt) for something that is utterly his mother’s fault.

The consequences just directly hurt the very young son, like causing them to go bankrupt or trying to get him bullied.

That kid wasn't so young to not know the difference between right and wrong on his own. And no-one forced the woman to spend beyond her means or take a loan they couldn't afford.

He quite literally was way too young to differentiate whats wrong and right, hence why his opinion changed from just hanging out with the poor kids. He didn’t understand what he was doing, he was parroting what his mom told him. He’s literally in elementary school

Also taking out a loan she couldn’t pay probably wasn’t what made her go bankrupt. It’s pretty heavily implied it’s something the white haired dude did.

Yeah, he left the loan flyer where she could find it.

So kids by the age of what 8-9-10, are still too immature to know right from wrong? So their age is a plausible excuse for their discrimination and bulling of the poor child? Yes they are influenced by the parent, but that doesn't mean by that age they don't know they are being little shits (and enjoying it too). Unless you have debunked child psychology 101?

Yes they are??? The vast majority of kids under 10 have undeveloped moral systems and most of what they think and do are influenced near completely by parents?? what child psychology 101 is telling you that kids are morally developed at such a young age?? Infact, most kids as young as that still exhibit actions like hitting others, stealing, etc BECAUSE they don’t understand the effect of their actions

On top of that, this narrative is literally debunked within the comment itself, showing how the child changed his beliefs (instilled by his mother) by just hanging out with other poor kids. Because he doesn’t understand class difference, he didn’t understand what he was saying and doing, HES LIKE 7 he was basically told to do it by his own mother.

These kids are definitely not seven, but whatever makes you happy.
