See the thing is with this statement you’re implying that the female lead is too good for the ml, something you also said in your original comment saying he’s not “deserving” of her. I just think it’s interesting that you consider a victim below his (former) abuser. Also for him acting like he “owns her ass”, the female lead quite literally owns his so your problem with it is quite hypocritical since you seem to have no problem with her. Most of all, you seem to be annoyed with how he’s not entirely direct with emotions, an amusing thing to be upset about considering that he’s both a slave with no power and a traumatized abuse victim. But of course, the truth behind his apprehension is that he’s just not “man enough” for the female lead.
On another note the second lead is unnecessarily obsessive over the female lead too, he also acts as if he “owns her ass.” Yet interestingly enough, his behavior doesn’t spark enough alarm bells for you as compared to the male lead who actually is close enough to her to actually warrant such behavior.
