Nah, MC never had a backbone. It was always one foot in, one foot out. It's exactly what is feeding the MC's obsession. And the chain thing is more of a metaphor because MC is quite dense that he doesn't get what he does to ML so it has taken a physical form basically.
right... he DID always end up giving in to everything ml wanted. I guess since he had the whole secret investigation thing going on and sort of clearer goals the way he acted was still a bit understandable. But right now he just seems foolish
first season was so good i completely forgot the 1st chapter warned us that this is where this would be going. In 1st season the characters seemed a bit more complex, with more relevant internal struggles. Now ml is bringing out an ankle chain and a collar that's so cheap BL plot i'm so sorry
MC kinda lost his backbone too but for now i'll believe it's because he doesn't have much to work with. its just the beginning of season 2 so we shall see !
also i usually like a good height difference but why did they look better when they were younger and the same height... two smaller and pretty boys getting it on, that was kinda hot
